Al Sharpton and Paris Hilton

Yesterday, Paris Hilton was released from prison for reasons that the newspapers report relate to "psychological trauma." Oh dear--she didn't quite like prison, so they're letting her go home.

But in today's Times newspaper (UK version), Al Sharpton was quoted as saying that such release appears to be another example of racism.

I guess he's right; I can't think of a time when a wealthy black man got away with committing a crime because his money was able to hire the best team of lawyers and then he went on to lose the criminal trial and write a book about how he committed the crime after all.
